Profile: Jeff Vormittag

Jeff started his IT career at Stentor Canadian Network Management in Ottawa as a Network Security Systems Analyst, developing software for a national real-time fraud detection system for telecom calling cards. At the unwind of Stentor in 1999, Jeff joined Canada's second largest telecom company in Calgary managing firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and Web server infrastructure for TELUS's first Consumer ADSL offering.

After more than 10 years in telecom, Jeff left senior management to take on the lead Project Manager role for Alberta Health Services Province-wide Active Directory Migration project. In a 6 month timeframe, and 2 months ahead of schedule, the team successfully consolidated over 100,000 user accounts from 14 distinct domains under a single Active Directory forest.

Since that first independent consulting engagement, Jeff has led a diverse range of Programs and projects at the enterprise level, with an intentional bent towards Cyber Security, Cloud/Core Infrastructure, and Operational Technology/SCADA projects.
